Pop star Justin Bieber trades in the microphone for a hockey stick on Saturday as he takes part in the 2017 NHL All-Star Celebrity Shootout.
The game takes place at Staples Center (5:15 p.m. ET) prior to the 2017 Coors Light NHL All-Star Skills Competition and is streaming on NHL.com, the NHL App and NHL Facebook page.

Bieber tweeted to his more than 91 million followers that he has been added to the roster.

Bieber is on a team with actor Cuba Gooding Jr., producer Jerry Bruckheimer, Edmonton Oilers All-Star center Connor McDavid and Chicago Blackhawks All-Star forward Patrick Kane. Eric Lindros, Joe Sakic and Nicklas Lindstrom are a few of the Hall of Famers who are also on the roster for Team Gretzky, coached by Wayne Gretzky.
Bieber faces off against Team Lemieux, coached by Mario Lemieux, which features actors Taylor Kitsch and David Boreanaz, along with NHL legends Ray Bourque, Jari Kurri, Larry Robinson and Scott Niedermayer.
The combined rosters feature 21 members of the 100 Greatest NHL Players, named Friday.
The game benefits Echoes of Hope, a nonprofit organization founded by Luc and Stacia Robitaille, which works to inspire hope in the lives of at-risk children.
