Starter Cory Schneider practiced Friday but won't play because of illness. Ken Appleby, recalled by the Devils from Binghamton of the American Hockey League on Friday, will dress as Kinkaid's backup.
The Devils have won their past two games since losing 5-3 to the Flyers at Prudential Center one week ago. Philadelphia is looking for its sixth win in seven games.

Devils forward Taylor Hall has 11 points (five goals, six assists) during a six-game point streak. He had a maintenance day Friday and did not practice.
Flyers forward Sean Couturier has 11 goals in his past 12 games, including two in the win against the Devils.

Coleman skated in Hall's spot during practice and stayed on the ice for extra work afterward. Hynes said Schneider skated early Saturday and will skate Sunday. … Neuvirth is expected to start his second straight game. He made 29 saves in a 3-2 overtime win against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday.
