New York has built its winning streak following a five-game losing streak, and have scored 17 goals in their past three games after scoring 11 goals in their previous six games.
The Devils try to avoid their seventh consecutive loss; they're 0-3-3 in their past six games after going 6-0-1 in their previous seven; it would be New Jersey's longest losing streak since they lost 10 straight (0-8-2) from Feb. 19-March 11, 2017.
Goaltender Cory Schneider will miss the game because of an illness. Keith Kinkaid starts for New Jersey and Ken Appleby, recalled from Binghamton of the American Hockey League, will back up.
