Minnesota Wild prince

Minnesota Wild fans loved Prince's "Let's Go Crazy" as their goal song during the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs so much that it sparked a change for this season at Xcel Energy Center.
The Wild announced Tuesday that the late Minneapolis native's song will be their new goal song after they received overwhelming feedback from fans.

"Our in-arena experience is designed for the fans, so it's great to be able to show them we take their feedback to heart," said John Maher, the Wild's vice president of brand, content and communications. "At the same time, it's our privilege to celebrate an iconic hometown artist that clearly has had an incredible impact on our community and the world."
The Wild first adopted the song for Game 6 of the Western Conference First Round against the Dallas Stars following Prince's death on April 21. In that game, Minnesota trailed 4-0 after two periods, but the song got plenty of play during the third when the Wild scored four goals and came within inches of forcing overtime in a 5-4 loss.
"Let's Go Crazy" made enough of an impression on the fans that they wanted to keep it for this season. The Wild surveyed season ticket and partial plan holders, and received a barrage of calls, emails and social media input in favor of the change.
The Wild will play their home opener on Oct. 15 against the Winnipeg Jets.
