Gaudreau socks

World Down Syndrome Day has a special meaning for Frederick Gaudreau.

In honor of his nephew, Noah, the Minnesota Wild forward wore mismatched socks ahead of Tuesday's game against the New Jersey Devils. Noah, who is also Gaudreau's godson, has Down syndrome.

Gaudreau also posted a message on his Instagram to help raise awareness, which included a photo of his nephew.
"Today, for the #worlddownsyndromeday we wear our mismatched socks to celebrate the beautiful uniqueness of every human being," Gaudreau wrote in the caption, in both English and French.
The post also included a picture of Gaudreau's dog, Lola, wearing the mismatched socks.
