As has become tradition at Bridgestone Arena, the team brought out another country music star to sing the national anthem before Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final. This time it was multi-platinum recording artist Martina McBride.
The Nashville native wore a No. 35 gold Predators jersey during the performance.
McBride, who burst on the scene in 1992 with her album "The Time Has Come" before finding incredible crossover success on the pop charts, is the latest in a long line of country stars to perform the "Star Spangled Banner" before Predators home playoff games.
Country music legend Hank Williams Jr. did the ceremonial towel wave wearing a custom jersey with his nickname "Bocephus" on the back.
It all started with
superstar singer Carrie Underwood
, the wife of Predators captain Mike Fisher, performing before Game 3 of the opening round against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Game 4 against the Blackhawks saw
Luke Bryan sing the anthem
.
In the second round against the St. Louis Blues,
Little Big Town
did the honors before Game 3 and
Vince Gill, joined by his daughters
Jenny and Corrina, sang before Game 4.
For the Western Conference Final,
Keith Urban performed
his first-ever national anthem before a sporting event. The original American Idol,
Kelly Clarkson
, sang before Game 4 and
Trisha Yearwood was the special guest
before the pivotal Game 6 against the Anaheim Ducks.
The big question on everyone's mind now: Who will sing before Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final?
