Pittsburgh Penguins co-owner Mario Lemieux was inducted into the Order of Hockey in Canada at a special ceremony in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on Monday.
Lemieux, who hoisted the Stanley Cup for the fourth time last week after the Penguins defeated the San Jose Sharks in the 2016 Stanley Cup Final in six games, was inducted with Bob Nicholson, president and CEO of Hockey Canada; David Branch, president of the Canadian Hockey League; and Geraldine Heaney, a two-time Olympic medalist and seven-time world champion with the Canadian women's Olympic team.
