The Toronto Maple Leafs forward wore custom Christmas themed skates for charity on Thursday. The red, green and gold skates matched the ugly/not ugly Ryan Reynolds holiday sweater Matthews sported before the Maple Leafs game against the Tampa Bay Lightning at Soctiabank Arena.
Matthews partnered up with the Canadian actor and SickKids Foundation to help raise money for The Hospital of Sick Children in Toronto. All the money donated before Christmas will be matched. This isn't the first time the two have partnered up for the holiday fundraiser. Back in 2020, Matthews and Reynolds ribbed each other on social media as part of the campaign.
