Domingue meets cancer-fighting children who helped design mask

Louis Domingue unveiled his Hockey Fights Cancer mask, then met the inspiration for his special helmet.

The Tampa Bay Lightning goalie sat down with the children, each of whom is fighting cancer, who helped design his special mask for their Hockey Fights Cancer month.

Four children, Madison, Isabella, Lauren and Bo, submitted drawings, which Domingue incorporated in various spots on his helmet. Lauren drew an angel with cancer wings with the words "Peace, Love, Cure" next to it. Bo's drawing was a kite, to stand for the Children's Cancer Center's logo. Isabella drew a dragonfly, and Madison wrote "love" and drew a flower on each side of his helmet.
A young boy named Jayden, who was unable to meet Domingue, also contributed a drawing of a dragon.
"I say thank you to all the kids that gave me their time for their drawings," Domingue said in a video posted to Twitter. "It's really one of the most beautiful masks I ever had."
Each design also features a Hockey Fights Cancer placard, with the name who each fights for on it.

Domingue debuted his mask Sunday, when he and the Lightning defeated the Ottawa Senators 4-3 in overtime.
