The matchup
The first round series between Laval and Utica will feature plenty of familiar faces for Habs fans.
Up front, Rafaël Harvey-Pinard, Joël Teasdale, Jesse Ylönen, Lucas Condotta and Anthony Richard all spent time with the big club this season.
The same goes for Corey Schueneman and Frederic Allard on the blue line, plus Cayden Primeau between the pipes.
Richard is Laval's leading point-getter with 67 points in 60 AHL games this season.
The Rocket hold a promising 5-1-0-0 record in six meetings with Utica during the 2022-23 campaign.
