Kevin Porter takes Stanley Cup to Michigan

Kevin Porter celebrated his day with the Stanley Cup in his home state of Michigan on Sunday.
The Pittsburgh Penguins forward, who is a Detroit native, started with a cereal breakfast out of the Cup before hosting a public gathering with the trophy in Plymouth, Mich.

Porter then brought the Cup to where he played collegiate hockey, Yost Arena on the campus of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He had 85 goals and 183 points in four years (2004-08) at Michigan, where he won the Hobey Baker Award given to the top college hockey player in the United States and helped the Wolverines reach the Frozen Four in 2008.

Porter, 30, had three assists in 41 games with the Penguins last season. He has 58 points in 247 NHL games with the Phoenix Coyotes, Colorado Avalanche, Buffalo Sabres and Penguins.
