Joe Buck interviews his twins during Blues intermission

Joe Buck knows a thing or two about interviewing upcoming sports stars.

The “Monday Night Football” broadcaster interviewed his sons at intermission during the St. Louis Blues game against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday.

One of Buck’s twin sons, Blake, played in between periods with his youth hockey team. His other son, Wyatt, also joined his brother on the Blues bench in a video posted by the team to social media.

Blake kept his answers to his dad’s questions simple, saying, “no” he wasn’t nervous, “yes” he had fun and “yes” he skated hard. However, the 7-year-old wasn’t sure if his team won or lost.

When Buck tried to trip up his son asking if mom or dad was cooler, Blake kept it neutral and answered, “I don’t know.”

The sportscaster then told his sons that their grandfather, Jack Buck, was the voice of the Blues when the team entered the league in the 1960s.

At the end of the video, Wyatt asked the crowd to join him in giving his brother a round of applause before leading fans in a “Let’s go Blues” chant.

Later in the night when the Blues got back on the ice, Buck did the honors of calling a goal by forward Pius Suter with plenty of enthusiasm.

Buck, who grew up in the St. Louis area, has had season tickets to the Blues since the 1990s.
