Welcome to the Gameday Blog, which will be updated throughout the day with news, lineup information, videos, and tweets.
Tonight is the biggest game of the season, and that can be said without any exaggeration or hyperbole.
The Sharks host the Vegas Golden Knights for Game 6 tonight at 4:30PM at SAP Center. The Golden Knights lead the series 3-2; if the Sharks lose, they are eliminated from the playoffs. If they win, both teams travel back to Las Vegas for Game 7 on Tuesday.
Game 5 did not go as planned for the Sharks. Looking disjointed most of the night, the Sharks found themselves in a 4-0 hole midway through the third period. It was only a furious comeback attempt by the Sharks that saw them score 3 goals in a few minutes that made the game close. Safe to say the team wants to improve on their performance and be the team that won Games 2 and 4.
The team fully recognizes the situation they are in. "I believe in the strength of our team," forward Tomas Hertl said to the media at yesterday's practice. "I believe if we play our hockey and what we're good at we will be back to Vegas."
Team Teal hopes that the raucous crowd at SAP Center will help stave off elimination tonight and push the series to a Game 7, where anything can happen.

Gameday festivities begin at SAP Center at 1:30PM with a free street rally held outside on Autumn St, featuring giveaways, a giant inflatable shark head, food trucks, and tons of photo ops. As with every home game, there will also be a March to the Tank from San Pedro Square Market, where S.J. Sharkie, Jon Root, and a drum corps will lead Sharks fans from Downtown San Jose to the arena.
Be sure to be in your seats by 4:20PM, towel in hand and wristband on wrist, to enjoy the award-winning, "gold standard" pregame show. Believe us - you don't want to miss it.

With the early start time, there was no morning skate today. Prior to the game, Peter DeBoer held media availability, where the only lineup confirmation was that forward Joe Thornton will remain out - though it's assumed that the lineup will remain the same.
