1. Last 10

With such heated rivalries against the Canadiens and Maple Leafs, the Bruins are often a bit of an afterthought in the minds of Sens fans when it comes to divisional opponents that they have history with. I think a good part of that is the Sens have been pretty dominant against Boston over the past few years along with ousting the Bruins either prior to or during the post-season.
Naturally, last years's playoff series is still pretty fresh (and we'll have some more on that in #2 and #4) but over their last 10 regular season games the Sens are 8-2-0 versus the Bruins, which includes a current 6-game winning streak, despite being outplayed on special teams (3 PPG to 11 PPGA) and outshot (305 to 319) over that span.
Ottawa's been equally dominant on the road against the Bruins winning their 5 of their last 6 regular season games at TD Garden as well as all 3 Massachusetts meetings in the post-season last spring.

2. That "sauce"

3. Boro update

While Mark Borowiecki's return isn't imminent, we've got some more good news regarding his recovery from a concussion he sustained back on November 19th against the Rangers.
Prior to facing the Panthers last weekend, Sens head coach Guy Boucher shared a brief update on his rugged defender who has resumed skating in Ottawa during the team's extensive road trips in December.
"We're not talking close," said Boucher. "He's closer but I don't see it before mid-January."
Borowiecki has missed the Sens' last 15 games and the coach mentioned that such an extensive layoff would mean a longer re-adjustment period for the 28-year-old defenceman.
"The problem is that even if he's ready to practice, he hasn't played in so long," Boucher said. "He'll need probably two weeks just to get his timing back. When you've been out so long, you can't just come back and go."

4. Previous meeting

The last time these teams met in Boston the Sens ended their first round playoff series in overtime to down the Bruins in 6 games. Clarke MacArthur's power play goal in extra time sealed it and Craig Anderson was solid in net turning aside 28 of 30 to pick up the series-clinching victory.
