The Edmonton Oilers, 2-2-3 in their past seven games, will make two lineup changes to begin a three-game road trip Monday. Left wing Benoit Pouliot will be inserted on the third line in place of Taylor Beck, and defenseman Eric Gryba, who has been out with an undisclosed injury, will play for the first time since Nov. 17, in place of Matt Benning. Pouliot, who has five goals and two assists in 28 games this season, was a healthy scratch in Edmonton's 3-2 shootout win against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday. "Benoit going back in will give us a spark," Oilers coach Todd McLellan said. "At some point, he'll have to really settle in and give us what he has. The coaching staff will in turn have to believe in him and run him for a while so that he does get his confidence back." Gryba will play for the first time in 16 games. "It's just keeping things extra simple," he said. "Your mind can play tricks on you sometimes. You think you're just going to step back in to where you were before and you're not. So it's kind of starting simple and building off those foundation things and going into your game not trying to do too much, really." Defenseman Kris Russell, who played parts of two seasons with the St. Louis Blues from 2011-13, will play in his 600th NHL game, against his former team. "The longer you can play in this league and the more games you can get, obviously it's pretty special to be in this league regardless of how many games you've played," Russell said. "I don't take it any different or anything, but it's something that's pretty cool, I guess." Goaltender Cam Talbot will make his fifth consecutive start for the Oilers.
