Selected by the Ottawa Senators in the third round (No. 68) of the 2006 NHL Draft, Gryba signed a two-year entry-level contract with the Senators on March 31, 2010. After spending the next two seasons with Binghamton of the American Hockey League, he made his NHL debut on Feb. 16, 2013 against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Gryba got his first NHL point, an assist, three days later against the New York Islanders and finished the season with six points (two goals, four assists) in 33 games.
On June 27, 2015, Gryba was acquired by the Oilers in a trade with the Senators in exchange for Travis Ewanyk and a draft pick.
Gryba has 43 points (seven goals, 36 assists) in 279 NHL games.
