Dubnyk will miss at least one more game for Wild

Devan Dubnyk won't be in the lineup when Minnesota Wild host the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday (8 p.m. ET; FS-N, FS-WI, FS-W, NHL.TV) because of an injury to his side.

The goalie was injured during a collision in the crease early in the second period of a 3-0 win against the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday. He made nine saves before leaving the game 1:59 into the second. Alex Stalock relieved him and made 16 saves to complete the shutout.
Dubnyk did not dress for a 4-0 loss at the Nashville Predators on Thursday. He practiced Friday but won't dress Saturday. Kaapo Kahkonen will back up Stalock for the second straight game.
"It was a muscle in my side when [Wild forward Ryan Donato and Oilers forward Josh Archibald] ran into me," Dubnyk told the Wild's website Friday. "It probably looked worse impact-wise hitting the ice than it actually was. The damage was done when they clipped my feet.

"It felt like I got hit by a bullet. Right when I one-pushed to the side, it was pretty sharp. I was having a tough time just straightening myself up when I was on my hands and knees and [I had] a tough time rolling over when I was on my back. You use that part of your body for just about everything that you do. It makes you realize that when it gets hurt that you use it for just about everything. It's still there, but today I was pretty happy with being on the ice pretty quickly."
Dubnyk, who is 2-5-0 with a 3.92 goals-against average and .880 save percentage in seven games with the Wild (3-7-0) this season, hinted Friday that it might make more sense for him to wait for Minnesota's next game, at the Dallas Stars on Tuesday.
"[Alex Stalock] has been giving us good efforts (3-1-2, 2.22 GAA, .916 save percentage)," he said, "so there's no reason that isn't an option."
