The sixth pick in the the 2022 Upper Deck NHL Draft was sealed with a kiss.

The Columbus Blue Jackets selected defenseman David Jiricek No. 6 at Bell Centre in Montreal on Thursday, and in celebration, he kissed the logo on the front of the jersey he was given.

Jiricek, a 6-3, 189-pound blue liner from Czech Republic who last played with HC Plzen, later said it is a ritual he does when he joins a new team.
Nothing will endear a player to a fan base immediately like showing the love on draft night.
