SEATTLE --Max Domi had two goals and an assist for the Dallas Stars in a 6-3 win against the Seattle Kraken in Game 4 of the Western Conference Second Round at Climate Pledge Arena on Tuesday.

The best-of-7 series is tied 2-2. Game 5 will be in Dallas on Thursday.

Jamie Benn, Roope Hintz and Thomas Harley each had a goal and an assist, and Joe Pavelski scored his sixth goal of the series for the Stars, who are the No. 2 seed from the Central Division.

"We know what happened last game wasn't good enough (a 7-2 loss in Game 3 on Sunday), and I think as a whole we had everyone going and everyone bounced back nice," Domi said. "I just think everyone was hungrier than the last game, and it showed. Everyone wanted to win every battle out there and win every puck, and I think everyone did that."

Jake Oettinger made 16 saves after being pulled in Game 3. He is 4-0-0 following a loss in the Stanley Cup Playoffs after going 17-1-3 following a loss during the regular season.

"It was unreal. [The defense] made it really easy on me," Oettinger said. "It's not always going to be one goal on 40 shots, so whatever it takes, and the win is the most important thing, and we were the better team."

Jaden Schwartz scored twice, and Philipp Grubauer allowed five goals on 22 shots before being pulled after the second period for the Kraken, who are the first wild card from the West. Martin Jones made two saves in relief.

"We didn't get to our game until the third period," Schwartz said. "They had a higher desperation to start the game, executed better, were the more desperate team, and we were on our heels and weren't able to get much going."

Benn put Dallas ahead 1-0 on a power-play goal at 17:13 of the first period. He took a pass from Hintz on a rush, toe-dragged the puck toward the middle of the ice, and roofed a shot blocker side from the top of the left face-off circle.

Harley scored on another rush to make it 2-0 at 4:46 of the second period. The 21-year-old defenseman, who did not score in six regular-season games, took a cross-ice pass from Domi and quickly shot over Grubauer's right shoulder from the top of the left circle.

"I'd love to say I aimed it, but [I] just tried to shoot as quick as I could and it went in," Harley said. "We got out-competed, out-battled in Game 3, and that was the big thing coming into tonight was that we cannot let that happen again. We got what we deserved in Game 3, and we out-competed them tonight and got the win."

Domi pushed it to 3-0 at 9:25 with a wrist shot glove side from the left dot. Seattle challenged the play for goaltender interference, but the call stood after a video review, resulting in a delay of game penalty.

On the ensuing power play, Pavelski made it 4-0 at 10:50 when he chipped in a rebound with a backhand from the low slot.

Schwartz pulled Seattle to within 4-1 at 11:46, redirecting a centering pass from Justin Schultz from the edge of the crease, but Hintz buried a rebound in front to make it 5-1 at 19:07.

"Second period, we were just late to everything," Kraken coach Dave Hakstol said. "We were a step behind in terms of getting there offensively, forecheck wise, and on the flip side, defensively we were just late getting there."

DAL@SEA, Gm4: Larsson buries one-timer in the 3rd

Schwartz scored his second of the game to cut it to 5-2 at 3:24 of the third period, and Adam Larsson made it 5-3 on a one-timer from the left point through traffic at 15:49.

But Domi sealed the win with an empty-net goal at 17:39 for the 6-3 final. He has 10 points (three goals, seven assists) in his past six playoff games.

"It's obviously nice to chip in and help the team out, but I think we had everyone going tonight," Domi said. "Everyone was making plays, everyone was competing and winning battles we needed to win because that's a great team over there. We know that. They work hard. A lot of speed, great goalie, great defense, so it's not easy to generate, but when you do you have to find ways to capitalize."

Seattle forward Jared McCann, who led the team in goals (40) and points (70) during the regular season, played for the first time since sustaining an undisclosed injury in Game 4 of the first round April 24. He started on the fourth line but took some shifts in his usual spot on the top line by the second period, finishing with three shots on goal in 13:11 of ice time.

"First couple shifts it was a little tough, but towards the end I felt really good," McCann said.
