Hellebuyck’s son shows off skills between pipes at home

There may be another Olympic gold medalist brewing in the Hellebuyck household.

In a social media video on Tuesday, Connor Hellebuyck showed off his young son’s skills as a goalie in their living room.

Hellebuyck takes a shot at his son, Hugh (who’s decked out in Team USA goalie gear), and Hugh makes the save look easy.

Hellebuyck – who is new to social media – then turns to the camera and makes a pun about this video being his first social media post.

“Our first post,” he said with a smile.

The Winnipeg Jets goalie won gold with Team USA at the 2026 Winter Olympics, leading the team throughout the tournament and making 41 saves in the gold medal game against Canada.

He also earned a Presidential Medal of Freedom after the tournament, the highest civilian award in the United States.
