Foligno's OT goal fuels Wild comeback over Blackhawks

ST. PAUL, Minn. --Marcus Foligno scored with 38 seconds remaining in overtime, and the Minnesota Wild swept their home-and-home series with the Chicago Blackhawks with a 4-3 win at Xcel Energy Center on Saturday.

With Kaapo Kahkonen pulled for an extra attacker, Kevin Fiala scored on a rebound from a shot by Jordan Greenway to tie the game 3-3 at 17:56 of the third period for the Wild.
Greenway also set up Foligno for game-winner.
"[Fiala] made a good play coming through the neutral zone and created a lot of space for me, and I didn't really have a passing option honestly, so I threw it at the net," Greenway said. "Thought we had some bodies around there and [Fiala] found a way to put it in. And then [Foligno], same thing. I just passed it to him this time.
"Obviously I had a point on both of them, but it was a good effort out of the whole squad. [Kahkonen] made some huge saves for us. A lot of guys had a good game tonight."

The Wild lead the NHL with 13 goals scored with the goalie pulled.
"Yeah, I mean, the puck bounces our way and we get some goals," Wild forward Mats Zuccarello said. "Some of it is luck and we've got some good skilled guys out there that can make plays and do the job. We've been good at that."
Kirill Kaprizov and Joel Eriksson Ek scored, and Kahkonen made 33 saves for Minnesota (24-10-3), which is 5-0-1 in its past six games.
Henrik Borgstrom scored twice, and Kevin Lankinen made 40 saves for Chicago (15-19-7), which lost to Minnesota 5-1 at United Center on Friday.
"Great response," Blackhawks coach Derek King said. "Totally different team from last night, so very happy with our effort, our compete level. Could have got some bounces go in for us, but that's hockey. We'll take that point and move on and build off it."
Borgstrom redirected an Erik Gustafsson shot at 9:51 of the first period to give the Blackhawks a 1-0 lead.
Alex DeBrincat increased the lead to 2-0 with a one-timer from the left circle on the power play at 17:07.

Zuccarello passed to Kaprizov in the slot on the power play to tie the game 2-2 at 10:45 of the third period, but Borgstrom put the Blackhawks ahead 3-2 at 12:03.
"Yeah, it's tough," Borgstrom said. "I feel like we needed this, and we played really well. It could have gone either way."
