Buffalo memorial

The Buffalo Sabres visited the site of the recent supermarket shooting in their city to pay their respects to the victims and show support for the community on Wednesday.

Sabres general manager Kevyn Adams, forward Kyle Okposo and goalie Malcolm Subban joined members of the Buffalo Bills (National Football League), including Josh Allen and head coach Sean McDermott, and members of the Buffalo Bandits (National Lacrosse League) at the gathering.
Ten people were killed at the Tops Friendly Market grocery store in Buffalo on Saturday.
"It was important to us to come and just show our support and reflect on what has happened in our community and be together with people," Okposo said in a Twitter video posted by the Sabres. "For me personally, I just want to talk to people and have a conversation with them and ask them how they are doing."

Okposo, Subban and Adams brought flowers to the memorial at the Tops Plaza and spoke with members of the community.
"I'm from here and I know what this community is all about and how we rally together in tough times and we rally together in great times," Adams said. "Just actually being here today and being kind of part of the day and seeing everything certainly gives you a sick feeling inside just to know what this community is going through."

The Sabres list
the Buffalo 5/14 Survivors Fund and the Buffalo Together Community Response Fund as two ways fans can financially help the community in this time.
