Wagner and Coyle are each from the Boston suburbs - Coyle is from of Weymouth, Massachusetts and Wagner is from Walpole - and made the short trip to Roxbury to play socially distant games and participate in traditional Halloween activities.
"Here we are having a great time with the kids, running around and playing games," Coyle said. "It looks like they're having a great time, [with] a little Halloween theme with the pumpkins and painting those; a little hockey involved; a lot of different activities but still being safe [and] having a good time."
Boston Police Department commissioner William Gross joined Coyle and Wagner for the festivities, and the Bruins relished the opportunity to give back to both the Boys and Girls Club and the boys in blue.
"It's been fun for being a part of it," Coyle said. "We all know what the [Boston Police Department] does for us in the community every single day, and it's a little thing that we can do just to come out and interact with them and be a part of their events. It makes us feel special."
