COL@NSH: Cale Baggett gets ovation before puck drop

Cale Baggett celebrated 10 months of cancer remission with 17,000 supportive friends on Saturday.

The 12-year-old from Dickson, Tennessee got a standing ovation from the home crowd while dropping the ceremonial first puck before the Nashville Predators game against the Colorado Avalanche at Bridgestone Arena.
Baggett, a sixth-grader at Dickson Intermediate School, was diagnosed with brain cancer in October 2017 but went into remission last April after four rounds of chemotherapy and four weeks of radiation.

COL@NSH: Young Predators fan on battling cancer

Baggett, a self-described sports lover who also enjoys traveling and being with his family and friends, was the Predators' Hockey Fights Cancer ambassador.
It was also the first NHL game he has ever attended, so pretty big day.
"That was a huge moment," Baggett told Fox Sports Tennessee. "My dad tells me there's a lot of hockey fans that have always wanted to do that, but they never get to, and this is my first game so I got to do it at my first one."
