CHICAGO-- Chicago Blackhawks rookie right wing Artemi Panarin will not play against the San Jose Sharks at United Center on Tuesday.
Panarin, who missed the morning skate with an illness, did not participate in the warmup and will miss his first game. Forward Jiri Sekac will enter the lineup after being a healthy scratch the past two games.

Panarin, 24, has six points in the Blackhawks' past three games (five assists) and leads NHL rookies with 52 points, 34 assists, 13 multipoint games; his 18 goals are tied for the lead with the Detroit Red Wings' Dylan Larkin.
Based on pregame line rushes, Teuvo Teravainen will fill Panarin's spot at left wing on the second line, playing with center Artem Anisimov and right wing Patrick Kane. Sekac will play right wing on the fourth line.
