LA Kings to Host Household Essentials Donation Drive

Sponsored by Blue Shield of California, Kings will celebrate National Random Acts of Kindness Day at Toyota Sports Performance Center

With support from LA Kings Wives & Girlfriends the Kings will celebrate National Random Acts of Kindness Day at Toyota Sports Performance Center to benefit Dream Center. On February 17th from 2pm-4pm, Kings wives & girlfriends will collect donations in the parking lot of TSPC from fans and local residents. The items of greatest need are diapers, wipes, non-perishable food and personal care items. 

The first 100 donors will receive an LA Kings branded reusable water bottle, plus one lucky donor will receive a photo canvas depicting and autographed by Luc Robitaille in a random drawing.

To celebrate National Blood Donor Month, a tradition each January spotlighting the lifesaving act of donating blood and platelets, the LA Kings will partner with Children's Hospital Los Angeles to host two outdoor and socially distant mobile blood drives. 

The first mobile blood drive will take place on January 26 at The LA Kings Ice Pickwick (1001 W Riverside Dr, Burbank, CA 91506) from 10am-4pm Parking is free for all donors and, as a token of our appreciation, the LA Kings are pleased to offer all donors a gift of their choosing as well as an LA King branded adjustable face mask

LA Kings Partner with CalHope Program as Official Helmet Partner

First-of-its kind partnership will bring awareness to CalHOPE's services and help educate on the importance of mental health

The LA Kings have launched a historic new partnership with the CalHOPE Crisis Counseling Program (CalHOPE), a California-based mental health and wellness initiative that will be named the first-ever, official helmet partner of the NHL team for the 2020-21 season.

CalHOPE serves as a crisis support resource for communities impacted by public health emergencies (PHE) or national disasters, and is run by the California Department of Health Care Services.

The landmark agreement, brokered by AEG Global Partnerships, is CalHOPE's first partnership with a professional sports franchise in Southern California and will focus on helping educate and connect those in need with vital mental health and wellness resources during these challenging times. The deal also marks the first time in franchise history that the LA Kings will feature a partner brand of any kind on the team's equipment.

LA Kings to Co-Host Food and Toy Drive in Burbank on December 15

Ahead of the Holiday Season, the Kings Care Foundation, The Salvation Army and Blue Shield of California are partnering to host a drive-thru Food and Toy Drive at the LA Kings Ice at Pickwick Gardens in Burbank on Tuesday, December 15th.

From 3:30pm - 5:30pm, LA Kings fans, local residents and beyond are encouraged to visit LA Kings Ice at Pickwick Gardens (1001 W Riverside Dr, Burbank, CA 91506) with trunks full of non-perishable food items and new packaged toys.

Volunteers will be standing by to unload donations through contactless interactions, ensuring the safety of all involved.

LA Kings Make Annual CHLA Visit a Virtual Success

Players participated in a virtual visit with patients and their families where they talked, played games and gifted LA Kings gear

Every year the Los Angeles Kings visit with Children's Hospital Los Angeles patients to talk, play games and hand out some goodies. The team was determined to make sure they could still visit, despite the pandemic.  

On Tuesday, Nov. 17, six members of the team -- Jonathan Quick, Alex Iafallo, Kurtis MacDermid, Cal Peterson, Sean Walker and Austin Wagner - participated in a virtual visit with patients and their families where they talked, played a few hilarious rounds of Pictionary, and handed out LA Kings-branded knit hats, socks and blankets.

The Salvation Army and LA Kings Launch Red Kettle with Food Drive

Canned food, supplies and monetary donations were collected to provide vital assistance to the homeless and families facing food insecurity

On Wednesday, November 16th, the LA Kings the Salvation Army joined forces to host a food drive at the LA Kings training facility in El Segundo, CA. Canned food supplies and other non-perishables were collected as well as monetary donations. 

Cars drove through as volunteers unloaded their trunks of the food they were donating. LA Kings Alumni and current Radio Analyst Daryl Evans was there to help with the food collection. TV Play-by-Play announcer Alex Faust also stopped by to drop off some food donations and assist with collections.
