LA Kings Recognized Major Rauschelbach in Military Homecoming

In a special ceremony before the season opener, Major Rauschelbach surprised his family with his return home

The LA Kings were thrilled to honor and recognize Major Douglass Rauschelbach of the United States Marine Corps at the Kings season opening game on Friday, October 5.

In a special pregame Military Homecoming ceremony, Major Rauschelbach was reunited with his wife and family, which was a complete surprise to their four children.

LA Kings Raise Over $175K at Annual Golf Tournament

It was a great day for a great cause at the 19th annual LA Kings Golf Tournament, benefitting the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles

On Monday, the LA Kings hosted their annual golf tournament at the Pacific Palms Resort.

With the help of everyone who attended, the tournament raised over $175K for CHLA's Department of Pathology. 

Players and participants enjoyed breakfast and practiced their putting in the courtyard before hitting the course for an 11 a.m. shotgun start.

A Quick 'Run' Down of the LA Kings 5K/10K

The Kings Care Foundation and Hydrocephalus Association joined forces for the Kings Annual Beach Cities 5K/10K

Together with Hydrocephalus Association (HA), the LA Kings Beach Cities 5K/10K and HA's Los Angeles WALK raised over $200K towards research. This is the fourth year in a row that the two events coincided.

The Kings Beach Cities 5K/10K serves as the kick off charity event for the 2018-19 season as all the players return to LA to start training camp.

Kings Care Foundation Raises $50K at 10th Annual Taste of the South Bay

The LA Kings came together for a special night of great food benefitting a great cause for schools in the South Bay

The Kings Care Foundation hosted the 10th Annual Taste of the South Bay at the Shade Hotel in Redondo Beach on August 23.

The upscale social event featured food and drinks from local restaurants, plus a silent auction, with the proceeds from the event going towards providing emergency trauma kits to local South Bay schools.

Schools to Receive Emergency Safety Kits from Taste of South Bay Proceeds

All proceeds will benefit local schools as the Kings will work with police and schools in Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach and El Segundo

The LA Kings and the Kings Care Foundation announced the club will use the proceeds from tonight's Taste of the South Bay event to purchase emergency safety kits to equip South Bay classrooms.

The announcement was made at Shade Hotel in Redondo Beach as the Kings hosted Taste of the South Bay presented by The DOMO Group.

"We started this program last year in Redondo Beach and are thrilled to be able to bring these tools to the kids of El Segundo, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach," said Kings President and Hockey Hall of Famer Luc Robitaille. "Our goal would be to make sure all of the kids and teachers in Los Angeles have access to such an important tool."

Tonight's event is expected to raise approximately $50,000. To date, Taste of the South Bay has raised nearly $400,000 since its inception.

LA Kings and Kings Care Foundation Host All City Beach Day in Long Beach

As part of the G.O.A.L.S. program presented by Blue Shield of CA, the LA Kings and city of Long Beach hosted 2,000 kids at the beach

On Thursday, August 16th, as part of the Long Beach All City Beach Day, the LA Kings partnered with the Long Beach Department of Parks and Recreation to bring 2,000 kids together from across Long Beach.

For many of these kids, it was their first time ever at the beach.

LA Kings and Blue Shield of CA Complete Garden Builds

As part of the G.O.A.L.S. program, the LA Kings and Blue Shield of CA joined forces to build four organic gardens at local YMCAs

During the 2017-18 season, LA Kings staff, alumni and Ice Crew were joined by Blue Shield of California to build organic gardens at the East LA, Wilmington, North Valley and East Valley YMCA locations. Combined, these facilities are estimated to serve over 20,000 patrons on a monthly basis, 150 of which are engaged in new programming pertaining to healthy foods and gardening.

"I truly enjoyed my time as a 50/50 seller. I got so much more out of it than I ever expected. Getting to know the fans and seeing how generous they were for special events and unfortunate circumstances was extremely rewarding," said one 50/50 seller.

Join the crew as they sell 50/50 tickets during home games next season to raise money for the Kings Care Foundation.

Last year's raffle raised over a $1,000,000 in total revenue and we are looking continue that next season.

LA Kings to Host Summer Storytime Library Series

The LA Kings will host 30 reading events from June through August at different locations throughout the greater LA area

Storytime with the LA Kings is back!

Storytime with the Kings is a summer reading program that includes special appearances from Bailey and the LA Kings Ice Crew. Bailey and the Ice Crew perform a reading of "B is for Bailey", the Kings new children's book that covers the ABC's of hockey.
