LA Kings Set to Host 10th Annual Taste of the South Bay on August 23

The prestigious event returns to the Shade Hotel in Redondo Beach

The 10th annual Taste of the South Bay, benefiting Kings Care Foundation, returns to Shade Hotel in Redondo Beach on Thursday, August 23rd and it's the only event of its kind for the LA Kings.

Taste of the South Bay is a social event that brings LA Kings fans, local residents from the team's South Bay home, alumni and players together through food.

Ever wanted to work in sports by helping to raise money for the team's Foundation? Now is your chance.

Kings Care Foundation is hiring!

Apply to be a part of the 2018-19 LA Kings 50/50 Raffle Seller team and you'll get more than just work experience. 

"I truly enjoyed my time as a 50/50 seller. I got so much more out of it than I ever expected. Getting to know the fans and seeing how generous they were for special events and unfortunate circumstances was extremely rewarding," said one 50/50 seller.

Join the crew as they sell 50/50 tickets during home games next season to raise money for the Kings Care Foundation.

Last year's raffle raised over a $1,000,000 in total revenue and we are looking continue that next season.

Storytime with the LA Kings is back!

Storytime with the Kings is a summer reading program that includes special appearances from Bailey and the LA Kings Ice Crew. Bailey and the Ice Crew perform a reading of "B is for Bailey", the Kings new children's book that covers the ABC's of hockey.

The LA Kings Partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters Mentorship Program

LA Kings "Big Brothers" and "Big Sisters" celebrated the conclusion of the Worksite Mentorship Program with BBBS

For the past two years, LA Kings staff members served as mentors to high school seniors from City Honors College Preparatory in Inglewood, CA.

The two groups met monthly as part of Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) Worksite Mentorship Program.

The bigs and littles met once a month to discuss various topics on personal and professional development. The sessions, which were facilitated by a BBBS Program Manager, were designed to help map out the students' futures and give them a professional adult mentor to guide them along the way.

The LA Kings Raised Over $1 Million Through 50/50 Raffle

During the 2017-18 season, the Kings Care Foundation's 50/50 Raffle surpassed $1 million in total funds raised

Not only did the 2017-18 LA Kings season mark the second year of the Kings Care Foundation's 50/50 Raffle, but it also witnessed the raffle raise a total of $1,005,820.

With proceeds benefitting the Las Vegas victims, Patient Advocate Foundation, Salvation Army, Humboldt Broncos victims, and many more charities, fans were able to have an impact on the community while also having a potential payout for themselves.

The LA Kings and Coca-Cola Teamed Up for Recycling Month

With the help of fans, Coca-Cola and the LA Kings were able to help restore 1,000,000 gallons of water in the Sacramento River

Before the final three LA Kings' home games in April, fans were encouraged to bring recyclable aluminum cans and bottles to STAPLES Center and, for every 10 items recycled, donors received one entry in a drawing for Kings' prizes.

Children ages 6-13 can submit an example of their leadership in the community for a chance to win tickets to Fan Appreciation night and a game-used stick from an LA Kings player

On April 7th, the LA Kings will celebrate Fan Appreciation Night during their last game of the regular season at STAPLES Center. 

As part of the Kings' G.O.A.L.S. program, presented by Blue Shield of California, we are inviting students to submit an example of them showing leadership in their community. Winners of the contest will receive tickets to Fan Appreciation Night game (April 7th) AND a game-used stick directly from a Kings' player.
