Winnipeg, MB- The Winnipeg Jets Hockey Club, in conjunction with its AHL affiliate, the Manitoba Moose, announced today they have re-assigned defenceman Julian Melchiori to the Moose.

Melchiori, 24, was re-called from Manitoba on Nov. 26 for the second time this season, but didn't play in either of the Jets' two games since then. He played in four games with Winnipeg this season during his first recall and has played in 14 games for the Manitoba Moose this season, recording five points (1G, 4A) and eight penalty minutes. The Jets selected Melchiori in the third round, 87th overall at the 2010 NHL Draft. Last season he played in 11 games with the Jets and 62 games with the Moose, registering seven points (3G, 4A).
The native of Richmond Hill, Ont., is in his sixth professional season with the organization, seeing action in 16 career NHL games and 249 AHL games where he has totaled 37 points (7G, 30A).
