The New York Islanders close out their back-to-back set as they play the Philadelphia Flyers for the final time this season as the two clubs clash on Sunday afternoon at Wells Fargo Center.

The Islanders enter the contest coming off a 4-2 victory over the Dallas Stars on Saturday afternoon which extended their point streak to six games (5-0-1). Brock Nelson powered the scoring as he posted a hat trick, while Ryan Pulock also scored. Semyon Varlamov made 37 saves on 39 shots in the win.
The Flyers closed out the second half of their back-to-back set as they dropped a 3-1 result to Ottawa on Friday night. Cam Atkinson scored Philadelphia's sole goal, while Martin Jones made 33 saves on 35 shots in the loss.
Sunday marks the fourth and final meeting between the Islanders and Flyers. The Islanders lead the season series 3-0-0 against their Metropolitan Division rival.

• Nelson recorded his fourth-career hat trick as he scored his team-leading 25th, 26th and 27th goals of the season. The centerman has totaled 29 points (27G, 12A) through 50 games this season.

• Atkinson tallied his team-leading 23rd goal and extended his point streak to five games where he totaled as many points (3G, 2A) in that span. The 32-year-old winger also leads the Flyers in scoring with his 47 points (23G, 24A) through 61 games.
• James van Riemsdyk posted an assist and in doing so, extended his point streak to three games where the winger has as many points on one goal and two assists in that span. Through 61 games, van Riemsdyk has collected 25 points (14G, 11A).
• Jones made his 22nd start of the season, while his record fell 7-12-3. The 32-year-old owns a 3.36 GAA and a .907 SV%.
• The Flyers were 0-for-3 on the power play - but relinquished a shorthanded goal - and were 2-for-3 on the penalty kill against Ottawa. In the NHL, Philadelphia's power play ranks 30th at 13.6% while their penalty kill ranks 26th at 75.4%. The Flyers' eighth shorthanded goals against this season marks the second-most in the NHL behind New Jersey.

• Philadelphia captain Claude Giroux skated in his 1,000th game on Thursday night, becoming only the second Flyer to reach the mark. Giroux was dealt to the Florida Panthers on Saturday afternoon. In exchange for Giroux, the Flyers acquired winger Owen Tippett, a first round pick in 2024 and a third round pick in the 2023 NHL Entry Drafts.
• Since returning to lineup on March 5 after missing time due to surgery, Kevin Hayes has points in four of his last seven games with five points (2G, 3A) in that span.
• On the injury front, winger Scott Laughton is sidelined with a concussion, Sean Couturier had season-ending back surgery on Feb. 11.
