April 16, 2019: The Islanders complete a four-game sweep of the Pittsburgh Penguins with a 3-1 win in Game 4 at PPG Paints Arena. Jordan Eberle, Brock Nelson and Josh Bailey scored for the Islanders, who completed their first series sweep since the 1983 Stanley Cup Final.

April 16, 1985:The Islanders become the first team in NHL history to overcome a 2-0 deficit in a best-of-five series, eliminating the Washington Capitals, 3-2. The Isles beat the Caps 2-1 in the deciding Game 5. Anders Kallur and Brent Sutter score for the Isles, while Billy Smith stops 39-of-40 shots in the win.
