The New York Islanders defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets 3-2 on Friday. The Islanders continued their streak of third period success this year, with Brock Nelson breaking the tie with the game-winner in the third.
Nelson, Jean-Gabriel Pageau and Oliver Wahlstrom scored for the Islanders, while Yegor Chinakhov and Kent Johnson scored for the Blue Jackets, with both goals coming on the power play.
With the win, the Islanders have now won three straight games.

First Period:

14:38 - CBJ 2, NYI 2 (PP) - Kent Johnson ties the game for the Blue Jackets on the power play. Marcus Bjork and Johnny Gaudreau earn the assists.
