Final

Kyle Palmieri scored with 14.1 seconds to play in the third period, lifting the New York Islanders to a 2-1 win over the Carolina Hurricanes at PNC Arena.
Palmieri and Jean-Gabriel Pageau scored for New York, while Vincent Trocheck scored the lone goal for Carolina, briefly tying the game in the final minute.
Ilya Sorokin carried a shutout through 59 minutes before Trocheck's goal, but made 19 saves on 20 shots in the Islanders victory, while Frederik Andersen stopped 19 in the loss.
The Islanders and Hurricanes each had 21 shots on Friday night and were able to stifle Carolina's offense, holding the Hurricanes to nine shots over the final 40 minutes.

Ilya Sorokin returned to action after missing five games with an upper-body injury… Pageau extended his goal streak to three games with five goals over that span. Pageau is averaging one point per game in his last nine games... Sorokin only faced one shot in the second period, marking the first time this season the Islanders were able hold an opponent to only one shot in a single period... Head Coach Barry Trotz was behind the bench tonight for the 1,800th time in his career.
