PROJECTED LINES:

Josh Bailey Riding Six-Game Point Streak:

Josh Bailey is riding a six-game point streak (1G, 5A) and has eight points (2G, 6A) in his last eight games.
"He's one of those players that when he's moving and doing those things he needs to do he's a very effective player," head coach Jack Capuano said. "I'm seeing more out of that, we're seeing more out of that and for me that's what it's about: consistency."
Capuano said Bailey is emulating John Tavares' work ethic and that Bailey is making high-percentage plays, rather than looking exclusively for the perfect play.
"I'm impressed and real happy with the way he's contributing this year on that line," Capuano said.

In Praise of Scott Mayfield:

Scott Mayfield was an emergency callup on Tuesday morning and scored against the New York Rangers on Tuesday night. If Johnny Boychuk returns on Thursday, Mayfield will likely sit, but head coach Jack Capuano made sure to praise Mayfield for his contributions this season.
"It's tough for him, he's been in and out [of the lineup] even when he's played well. He's got two points in his last two games and I think he's a plus-3. Just going down [to Bridgeport] he's worked really hard, but he's come up here and not only given us a physical presence and a big body and playing sound defensive hockey, but he has the confidence now to play how we want to play and get up in the play as a defenseman and really contribute offensively for us."

Blues Cancel Morning Skate:

The St. Louis Blues found out about New York traffic on Thursday morning. The Blues cancelled morning skate at Barclays Center due to traffic congestion between Manhattan and Brooklyn.
Ken Hitchcock announced that the Blues will go with their same lineup from their last game against Montreal. That means Jake Allen is in net.
