Isles Day to Day: Palmieri on IR, Bardreau and Fasching Recalled

Kyle Palmieri was placed on Injured Reserve retroactive to Nov. 21 and is considered day-to-day with an upper body injury, Islanders President and General Manager Lou Lamoriello announced Thursday. Palmieri has nine points (6G, 3A) in 20 games this year.
Additionally, Lamoriello announced that Cal Clutterbuck is day-to-day with an upper body injury and Josh Bailey is also day-to-day with an upper body injury.
Bailey skated in Thursday 's practice. All three players are questionable to play Friday against the Nashville Predators.

Hudson Fasching and Cole Bardreau have been recalled from loan in Bridgeport due to positional need, according to Lamoriello. Bardreau has nine points (5G, 4A) in 19 games this season, and Fasching has 10 points (7G, 3A) in 18 games this year.

"They were positional call ups," Lamoriello said. "We could have called up other people in different positions but that's not the need right now. It's a positional need and also warranted on the way they have played throughout the season."
Simon Holmstrom remains with the NHL roster. Robin Salo remains on loan in Bridgeport.
"We want to see exactly what the situation is with the forward roster," Lamoriello said. "We have six healthy defensemen, and you can only have 23 men on the roster."
