Travis Hamonic (lower body) was activated off of injured reserve on Friday.
Hamonic was placed on IR retroactive to Jan. 7. The Islanders' defenseman has 12 points (2G, 10A) in 35 games this season and is averaging 20:49, the second-most on the team.
Hamonic's activation impacts Josh Ho-Sang's recall, as the rookie had the emergency conditions on his recall terminated. Ho-Sang is now classified as a regular recall.
The Islanders will annouce their lineup for Friday's game in Chicago at 5 p.m. CT (6 p.m. ET).
