After three days off for the NHL's Christmas break, the New York Islanders were back at practice on Thursday morning.
The Islanders are one of five teams off on Thursday, allowing a little more time to ease back into the NHL grind. Things pick back up on Friday when they kick off a back-to-back set that begins in Brooklyn vs Ottawa and ends on Saturday night in Toronto.
Injury Updates:
Cal Clutterbuck (lower body) did not practice with the team on Thursday, but did skate on his own. Barry Trotz said Clutterbuck, who left Sunday's game in the first period, will be re-evaluated and could rejoin the group on Friday.

Jordan Eberle was also absent on Thursday, as he's dealing with some reported stiffness, per Trotz.

Thomas Hickey (IR - upper body) skated before practice, but did not skate with the team.
New father Johnny Boychuk was back at practice with the team on Thursday. Boychuk missed Sunday's game against Dallas for the birth of his third child and first son.
