The skills competition assignments have been announced! The 2023 NHL All-Star Skills™ presented by DraftKings Sportsbook, kicks off on Friday night at 7 p.m. eastern.
Brock Nelson will participate in the Honda NHL Accuracy Shooting™ challenge, where players aim to hit break four Styrofoam targets in the net in the fastest time. The Islanders center co-leads the team with 19 goals this season and scored a career-high 37 goals last year.

Ilya Sorokin will participate in the Discover NHL Tendy Tandem™. This is a new event for the 2023 Skills Competition.
Per the NHL:
Eight goaltenders will participate in this event, with one goalie from each division designated the shooting goalie and one the in-net goalie. The shooting goalies will earn points based on the accuracy of their shots at the net, and the in-net goalies will face rushes of three, two or one player(s), based on the number of points earned by the shooting goalie in their tandem.

The individual winner of each event of the 2023 NHL All-Star Skills™ presented by DraftKings Sportsbook will earn $30,000.
The All-Star Game is on Saturday at 3 p.m.
