Here are this week's updates on Islander prospects:

MAGGIO, KUEFLER SCORE IN CHL RETURNS

Matt Maggio returned to the Windsor Spitfires, of the Ontario Hockey League, and played his first game of the season on Saturday picking up right where he left off.
Maggio, the Islanders' 2022 fifth-round pick (142nd overall), scored his first goal of the season, breaking a 3-3 tie in the second period to give the Spitfires a 4-3 lead over the Saginaw Spirit. The Spitfires went on to win the game 5-4.
Daylan Kuefler also scored in his first game back with the Kamloops Blazers, of the Western Hockey League, opening the scoring against the Victoria Royals on the power play. Kamloops won the game 3-1.

LENNOX RECOGNIZED FOR SAVE OF THE NIGHT:

Tristan Lennox led the Saginaw Spirit to a 5-2 win over the Sudbury Wolves on Sunday night. Lennox made 21 saves on 23 shots, for a .913 save percentage, marking his best start of the season thus far.
The highlight of Lennox's night was a full extension paddle save that earned OHL Save of the Night honors. He made the first stop on the breakaway, and after allowing a rebound dove across the net to stop what looked like a sure goal for Sudbury late in the second period.
With the win, Lennox improves to 3-0-0 on the season with a 4.36 GAA and an .832 SV%.
Saginaw currently sits at second in the OHL Western Conference standings through their first five games.

LJUNGKRANTZ GETS HOT:

Alexander Ljungkrantz scored his first goal of the SHL season on Oct. 8 tying the game 1-1 for Brynäs IF against Skellefteå AIK.
Ljungkrantz collected his own rebound after his initial shot by the net and tucked it just behind the goaltender. Brynäs IF went on to win 3-1.
The Islanders' 2020 third-round pick (90th overall) also tallied a primary assist on Oct. 6 against Leksands IF, getting a pass behind the net and then dishing a pass to Linus Ölund who scored to give Brynäs IF a 1-0 lead in a game they went on to win 4-3.
Ljungkrantz is now on a three-game point streak with one goal and two assists over that span.
