Koivula Keeps Momentum Going

Over in Finland's top league, Liiga, Otto Koivula recorded a three-point week with his second goal and fourth and fifth assists of the season with HIFK. The Isles' 2016 fourth-rounder (120th overall) scored in HIFK's 4-0 victory over JYP on Oct. 28 and on Oct. 31, Koivula added two assists in their 4-3 win over TPS.
The 22-year-old winger now has five points (2G, 3A) through seven games. Koivula and HIFK are ranked fifth overall in Liiga with a 4-5-3 record.


Golyshev Generating Offense

In the KHL, Anatoly Golyshev posted two more assists since last week and now has 14 points (7G, 7A) in 19 games with Avtombolist.
The Isles' 2016 fourth rounder (95th overall) dished out two helpers on Oct. 31 in Avtombolist's 7-2 rout over Dinamo Riga.
Golyshev and Avtombolist are ranked third overall in the Eastern Conference and fourth overall in the entire KHL with a record of 15-4-3.


No Update on Wahlstrom

There has not been a recent update on Oliver Wahlstrom, who is playing over in Sweden's second tier league (Allsvenskan) with AIK. The Isles' 2018 first rounder (11th overall) is out with an undisclosed injury following an awkward crash into the boards on Oct. 21.
Through six games with AIK, Wahlstrom compiled four points (2G, 2A). AIK is ranked 11th overall in Allsvenskan with a record of 4-6-0.


Update on QMJHL

William Dufour, who was selected 152nd overall in the fifth-round pick of the 2020 NHL Draft, has been sidelined with the Drummondville Voltigeurs in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) due to the league's decision to suspend play in its Quebec divisions until at least Oct. 28.
The Voltigeurs announced on Oct. 25, that there were seven positive COVID-19 test results among the team and staff and that a 14-day isolation period would be applied to those players and staff members. The Voltigeurs schedule currently lists their next game as Nov. 6 against Val d'Or.
Prior to the suspension of the QMJHL, Dufour had posted three assists in two games.
