COLLEGE HOCKEY PLAYOFFS:

Logan Cockerill and Boston University also advanced to the Hockey East semifinals after beating UMass Lowell in three games over the weekend.
Cockerill notched two assists in BU's series-clinching 4-1 win on Sunday. BU won the series opener 3-0 before losing to Lowell 6-4 in game two.
Cockerill and BU will play Northeastern in the Hockey East semis on Friday at 4 p.m.
Notre Dame Advances to Big 10 Championship:
Jake Pivonka and Notre Dame will play Penn State for the Big 10 conference championship on Saturday night at 8 p.m.
Pivonka and Notre Dame beat the University of Minnesota 2-1 in overtime in semifinal action on Saturday to advance to the championship game. The game will be broadcast on the Big 10 Network.
North Dakota Eliminated by Denver:
Collin Adams and the University of North Dakota were eliminated from the NCHC playoffs after being swept by the University of Denver two games to none. UND was shut out by Denver 2-0 on Friday and lost 4-2 on Saturday.
Cornell Advances to ECAC Semis:
Cornell beat Union College two games to one over the weekend to advance to the ECAC semis. Andong Song did not play in the three-game series.

DURANDEAU'S POINT STREAK ENDS AT 11 GAMES:

Arnaud Durandeau's career-long, 11-game point streak came to an end on Saturday night, with Durandeau going nearly a month between games where he was held off the scoresheet. In total, Durandeau recorded 21 points (12G, 9A) on his 11-game run.
Durandeau, the Islanders' 2017 sixth-round pick, recorded four points (3G, 1A) last week with back-to-back multi-point games on Wednesday and Friday. Durandeau finished the regular season with 38 goals, 35 assists and 73 points, all career-highs.
Halifax finished atop the QMJHL's Eastern Conference, with 102 points. They will play the Quebec Remparts in the first round of the QMHL playoffs starting on March 22 in Halifax.


SOROKIN RECORDS SECOND SHUTOUT OF PLAYOFFS:

Ilya Sorokin made 23 saves on Sunday for his second shutout of KHL playoffs, as CSKA Moscow beat HC Dynamo 4-0.
CSKA leads Dynamo 2-1 in their best-of-seven conference semifinal series. Sorokin and CSKA won game one 4-1 on March 13, suffered their first loss of the playoffs (a 1-0 OT defeat) on March 15 before rebounding with the shutout win.
Sorokin has started all of CSKA's games in the postseason, posting a 6-1-0 record with a 0.86 GAA, a .956 SV% and a pair of shutouts.
