Here are this week's updates on the Islanders prospects:

JEFFERIES DISHES OUT TWO ASSISTS

Alex Jefferies, who the Islanders drafted 121st overall (fourth round) at the 2020 NHL Draft, registered two assists for the Merrimack Warriors in their weekend series sweep over the Providence Friars.
Jefferies dished out one helper in the 3-2 victory on Jan. 14 and another assist the following night in Merrimack's 2-1 win on Jan. 15.
With the two assists, the 20-year-old winger now has 11 points (3G, 8A) through 19 games in his sophomore season with the Warriors.
Jefferies and Merrimack rank seventh in the Hockey East standings with a 5-7-0 record and have an overall record of 10-10-1.

PIVONKA POSTS AN ASSIST

Jake Pivonka tallied an assist for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the team's weekend series split against the Ohio State Buckeyes.
The Islanders' 2018 fourth rounder (103rd overall) posted an assist in Notre Dame's 3-2 win on Jan. 14. The assist extended his point streak to three-straight games where he compiled as many points (three assists) in that span. That streak came to an end as Pivonka was held without a point on Jan. 15 in 4-1 loss to the Buckeyes.
Pivonka has totaled three assists through eight games through his senior season with the Fighting Irish. He and Notre Dame are ranked fourth in the Big Ten standings with a 9-5-0 record and ranked 13th in the NCAA 16-7-0 record.
