First-Responders

The New York Islanders are hosting First Responders Night, presented by Northwell Health, on Thursday when they host the Tampa Bay Lightning at UBS Arena.
Tickets are still available
.
All fans in attendance will receive a special first responders patch, designed by local Northwell Health EMT, Timber Zino.

First Responders Night is all about celebrating healthcare workers, paramedics/EMTs, police officers and firefighters, who selflessly serve the community every day.
First responders will receive a discount at Isles Lab by showing a badge or work ID, or providing a photo on the job or in uniform.
An ambulance, police car and firetruck will be parked on the plaza pregame for fans to take pictures of.
First responders will be celebrated throughout the game with a ceremonial puck drop, as well as the flag captain of the game. Fans can show their appreciation to first responders by stopping by section 109 to write a note of thanks for all they do.
The Hockey with a Heart charity of the game will be Team Lavender, a 24/7 interdisciplinary group of professionals who are dedicated to supporting their colleagues during times of crisis.
First Responders Night also comes three days after the Islanders organization surprised first responders at the Northwell Health EMS Center with dinner and Isles swag, as a token of the team's appreciation for all of their work in the community. Islanders alumnus, Eric Cairns, was on site to give out meals and Islanders swag, as well as meet and greet with first responders.
