The small, but shifty forward spent the 2020-21 season playing for TPS in Liiga, Finland's top league, recording 38 points (10G, 28A) in 54 games, plus an additional seven points (2G, 5A) in 13 playoff games. Last year, Iskhakov played for Adler Mannheim in Germany's DEL. Injuries limited him to 25 games, but he scored nearly a point-per-game, with 22 points (7G, 15A).
"I got more mature playing with the pros," Iskhakov said. "Especially in Finland where you have a lot of players that are really good skaters. In Germany, we had a lot of North American guys who have already played in NHL or AHL. I think it was just a great experience for me."
