GOLDEN KNIGHTS NOTES:
- The Golden Knights have lost their last three games, falling 6-2 to the LA Kings, 3-1 to the St. Louis Blues and most recently 5-3 to the Edmonton Oilers. Vegas had not lost three consecutive games in regulation last season since losing four-straight from Jan. 7-14, 2020.
- The Golden Knights are currently battling a slew of injuries. Max Pacioretty is out with a fractured foot, while captain Mark Stone is somewhere "between day to day and week to week" with a lower-body injury, per Peter DeBoer.
Pacioretty and Stone were the Golden Knights' two leading scorers last season. Alex Tuch is also still out after undergoing offseason shoulder surgery.
- With two of their big guns out, Chandler Stephenson leads the team with four points (2G, 2A).
- Vegas had another active offseason, trading goaltender - and reigning Vezina Trophy winner - Marc-Andre Fleury to the Chicago Blackhawks. They also traded forward Ryan Reaves to the New York Rangers, acquired Evgenii Dadonov from the Ottawa Senators and acquired 2017 second-overall pick Nolan Patrick in a three-team trade with Nashville and Philadelphia.
- The Golden Knights have allowed 4.25 goals-against-per-game, tied for the third-most allowed in the NHL.
- Vegas' power play is 0-for-9 to start the season, making them the lone team in the NHL without a power-play goal this season.
- Former Islander Robin Lehner is 1-3-0 this season with a 3.59 GAA and a .901 SV%.
