The New York Islanders playoff quest starts on Sunday and the Empire State Building is pretty excited about it.
The New York landmark lit up orange and blue on Saturday night to celebrate the start of the Islanders First Round series against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Game 1 starts at noon on Sunday and will air on NBC in the United States, as well as Sportsnet and TVA Sports in Canada. The Empire State Building will also light up after every Islanders win.
The Islanders are starting the series with two games at Pittsburgh's PPG Paints Arena on Sunday and Tuesday before returning to Nassau Coliseum for Games 3 and 4 on Thursday night and Saturday afternoon, respectively.
