One Islanders prospect is guaranteed to win the Hockey East title this season, as Logan Cockerill (2017, 7th rd) and Ben Mirageas (2017, 3rd rd) face off for their conference championship.
Officially it's a matchup between Boston University and Providence at TD Garden at 7 p.m., but Islanders fans will be following the two freshmen, with Cockerill representing BU while Mirageas skates for Providence.

Both teams scored OT wins in the semis, with BU rallying for a 4-3 win over crosstown rival Boston College, while Providence beat Northeastern 3-2 to advance to their first Hockey East championship since 2001.
Neither prospect recorded a point in the semifinal wins, but both have made impacts in their freshmen seasons. Cockerill had his 10-game point streak snapped on Friday, but it's still the longest of any player in the conference this season. Mirageas led all Providence defensemen with eight goals this season and was eighth on the team in points.
Both Cockerill and Mirageas won the Hockey East's Rookie of the Week honors this season, with Mirageas winning it in November, while Cockerill won it on Monday after scoring the series-clinching goal in a quarterfinals sweep over UConn.
Fans can watch Saturday's title game on NESN, ESPN3 or TSN GO.
