In honor of Women's History Month, the Golden Knights are celebrating all the different women in the organization that do so much behind the scenes. The team will be featuring several female employees throughout March.

How did you get to where you are now in the sports industry?
I began in the sports industry as a Sales & Service intern with the ECHL Allen Americans in Allen, TX. After two seasons as an intern, I was brought on board as an Account Executive which led me to a management role as the Director of the Groups Sales Department. To pursue my dream of working in the NHL, I joined the Anaheim Ducks as a Service and Retention Account Executive and ultimately was led to Las Vegas, Nevada when I was extended the opportunity to join VGK as a Membership Services Account Executive. I'm grateful to be a part of this organization and the opportunity to continue to grow in the industry.

What is your role within the Foley Entertainment Group organization?
I'm an Account Executive in Membership Services managing over 500 full season ticket accounts.

What is one of the greatest challenges of being a woman in sports?
Being taken seriously and not patronized by a society that stereotypes sports as a guy thing.

What are the most rewarding things about working in sports?
I am blessed to have the opportunity to meet and create relationships with our fans in our community and all around the world! They each have various backgrounds with different stories and yet they all come together to watch the great game of hockey and support our Vegas Golden Knights! I enjoy being a part of an industry that brings joy to the fans from the product on the ice, in-game entertainment and experiences they wouldn't get anywhere else!

Any advice for other women trying to break into the sports world?
Be willing to work and put in the time. Be willing to make sacrifices in exchange for knowledge, experience and achieving your end goal. Be teachable and open to constructive criticism. Seek successful people and mentors in the industry and don't stop asking questions. Know there is always more to learn and be hungry to know it. No task is too small - master it. One of my favorite proverbs I live by is "Work hard and become a leader, be lazy and never succeed." If you want it, set goals and work for it.
