The Vegas Golden Knights ended their three-game losing streak with a 4-1 win against the Dallas Stars on Tuesday at T-Mobile Arena.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
Dallas got on the board just more than halfway through the first period with a power-play goal from Roope Hintz. During a Golden Knights power play, Nate Schmidt set up Max Pacioretty, who evened things out at 11:48 in the second. Pacioretty got it between the pipes a second time with an unassisted goal from behind the Dallas net with less than five minutes left in the third. Seconds after the Stars pulled their goaltender, Schmidt sent the puck across the length of the ice for an empty netter. His was followed by Brayden McNabb who scored an empty-net goal of his own to ensure a 4-1 win.
TURNING POINT
After Vegas didn't convert on a five-on-three in the final frame, Pacioretty shot the puck from behind the Stars goal post, bouncing off a Dallas player into the net. This shifted momentum into the Golden Knights favor and was followed by two more goals from Vegas.
