Mark Stone (1G, 1A) and Max Pacioretty (1G, 1A) each chipped in two points but the Vegas Golden Knights dropped a 4-3 decision to the Boston Bruins on Tuesday night at T-Mobile Arena.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
Stone got Vegas on the board with a power-play goal early in the first period before Reilly Smith followed up with a goal of his own to put the home team up 2-0 in the first 10 minutes. The Bruins fought back with goals from David Pastrnak and Brad Marchand to send the teams into the intermission level at 2-2. Early second-period strikes from Marchand and Torey Krug put Boston ahead by two in the middle frame. Max Pacioretty buried his first goal of the campaign in the dying stages of the third, but the Bruins held on for the 4-3 win.

TURNING POINT
After Vegas and Boston split the first period, the first five minutes of the second period were crucial to both teams. The Bruins took charge with quick goals and those tallies gave them all they needed to secure the win.
