STORYLINES
Last season, the Golden Knights found consistent success against the Ducks in their four-game season series. Vegas won the first three games and scored four goals each time. The Ducks earned their first win against Vegas on February 19 as John Gibson and Ryan Miller combined to shutout the Golden Knights, 2-0.
Marc-Andre Fleury is looking to take sole possession of 10th all-time on the NHL career wins list. He tied Glenn Hall on Tuesday as he collected his 407th win. He is also one shutout away from becoming the 29th goalie to post 50 career shutouts.
STATE OF THE DIVISION
As the division stands Saturday, the Ducks sit atop the standings with 11 points through seven games. The Calgary Flames and Vancouver Canucks are tied for second in the Pacific with eight points each and the San Jose Sharks are close behind them with seven points. Edmonton and Vegas are tied with six points each while the Los Angeles Kings and Arizona Coyotes round out the bottom of the division with five points and four points, respectively.
STREAKS
Cody Eakin has goals in back-to-back games. Both of those goals have been game-winners on Vegas' two-game win streak.
Marc-Andre Fleury has allowed only one goal in his last six periods of play.
LAST TIME OUT
The Golden Knights earned their second-straight victory Tuesday night as they notched a 4-1 win against the Buffalo Sabres at T-Mobile Arena. Cody Eakin scored the game-winning goal while William Karlsson accumulated three points (1G, 2A). Fleury picked up the 407th win of his career to tie Hall for 10th all-time.
KEYS TO THE GAME
Stay Sharp: Vegas was firing on all cylinders at T-Mobile Arena on Tuesday night. They'll need to be sharp even with three days between games to compete with the Ducks.
Don't Worry About The Standings: Playing the first-place team in the division can be daunting for any team, just ask the Pacific Division teams who had to deal with Vegas last season. The Golden Knights need to treat this game like any other and battle for a win.
