NOTES
The Golden Knights earned their fifth three-goal comeback win in franchise history on Thursday against the Toronto Maple Leafs when they rallied from an early 3-0 deficit to take a 4-3 decision in a shootout.

Jack Eichel netted the first penalty-shot goal of the 2026-27 season, and only the second of his career.

Trevor Connelly became the third rookie in Golden Knights history to score a game-deciding shootout goal.

WELCOME TO IMPOSSIBLE KNIGHT
Vegas will host Welcome to Impossible Knight on Saturday as the first of five Anniversary Knights during Season X at T-Mobile Arena. Welcome to Impossible Knight lands on the anniversary of the first home game in franchise history, played Oct. 10, 2017. The game celebrates the team's first season and will mark the final time they wear their inaugural gray jerseys.

Before the game, the Golden Knights will hold their annual Fan Fest which will feature special appearances from members of the original team, including Pierre-Edouard Bellemare, Oscar Dansk, Cody Eakin, Deryk Engelland, Brad Hunt, James Neal, Ryan Reaves and inaugural Head Coach Gerard Gallant. Historical artifacts from the team’s first season will also be available for fans to view. Fan Fest is presented by Raising Cane's and open to the public free of charge, with those in attendance having a chance to enter to win tickets to Welcome to Impossible Knight.

LAST TIME OUT
The Golden Knights beat the Maple Leafs 4-3 in a five-round shootout on Thursday at T-Mobile Arena. Toronto scored three goals from Jack Roslovic, Easton Cowan and Nick Paul in the first period. Mark Stone opened the scoring for the Golden Knights off a pass from Jack Eichel, bringing the score to 3-1 heading into the middle frame. Vegas continued forward in the second period when Brett Howden scored the second goal on a pass from Mitch Marner. Eichel continued his momentum with a penalty-shot opportunity for the equalizer goal heading into the third period. The final frame ended scoreless, forcing overtime; however, neither team was able to capitalize. Braeden Bowman scored the first shootout goal of his NHL career and Trevor Connelly netted the eventual winner, also his first shootout goal of his career, to lift Vegas to the 4-3 win. Adin Hill earned his second win of the season in net, turning aside 21 shots and four more in the shootout.

2024-25 SEASON SERIES
The Golden Knights faced the Kings four times in their 2025-26 series, winning three and losing one in a shootout. Vegas opened their season against the Kings on Oct. 8, falling 6-5 in a shootout. Jack Eichel and Ivan Barbashev both scored in the third period to gain a two-goal lead, but Trevor Moore and Brandt Clarke scored for the Kings to send the match into overtime and the deciding shootout. In their second encounter on January 14, the Golden Knights took the win in overtime with goals from Bowman and Marner in regulation and the game-winner by Stone 25 seconds into sudden death. In their third matchup on February 5, the Golden Knights dominated the Kings 4-1, with early goals in the first period from Eichel, Stone and Marner. To wrap up their season series, Vegas once again rallied past the Kings in a 6-4 victory.

OPPOSITION UPDATE
The Los Angeles Kings currently hold a 0-2-1 record and sit seventh in the Pacific Division through their first three games of the 2026-27 season. The Kings played their first two games of the season on the road against Colorado where they fell 8-4 to the Avalanche and San Jose where they lost 5-4 in overtime to the Sharks. The Kings then returned home on Wednesday to face the Florida Panthers, dropping a 2-1 decision. Artemi Panarin (2G, 1A), Erik Haula (1G, 2A) and Alex Laferriere (1G, 2A) lead Los Angeles with three points each.

In the offseason, the Kings hired Peter Laviolette as Head Coach. Veteran captain Anze Kopitar retired, paving the way for Drew Doughty to enter his first season of captaincy. Offseason acquisitions include Haula, Mats Zuccarello, Corey Perry and Scott Laughton.
